Style's Kids' Club: With Suri Cruise’s footwear choices making headlines‚ and sales of childrenswear up 40% at Selfridges‚ kiddies’ fashion is having a moment. Just check out planetawesomekid. com for proof. A mini-me version of the Sartorialist blog‚ it believes that kids’ style is “eclectic‚ cool and without boundaries”. Well‚ quite. To find similar achingly cool style for your own mini me‚ head for lesser-known retailers such as the supercool Twisted Twee (twistedtwee.co.uk) for eccentric and original T-shirts and baby clothes. Or try the ultra-girlie Peak Princess label (peakprincess.co.uk) for the full-on Suri factor. Best get on it‚ though. The fashion buck doesn’t stop with the grown-ups any longer — and the competition is tough.

About Peak Princess: I handmake children's wear (6 months to 6 years) in Liberty prints from my home in the Peak District. Liberty have called my designs "truly exclusive, personal and original...not something you'd find on the high street" and Angels and Urchins magazine called them "too divine to miss out on". I make just a handful of items each week and each is sewn to order so you won't see them anywhere else. Due the success of the Peak Princess girls' range I'm soon launching a collection for little boys called of course, Peak Prince.
