liberty print children's clothes for babies, girls & boys

My Liberty range is handmade in either Tana Lawn cotton or Kingly baby cord.

Lawn cotton is a fine linen cloth used for clerical garments woven in Laon, northern France.  This fine sheer cloth is now woven in cotton and although crisper than voile is not as crisp as organdie.  There are many types of lawn including Indian lawn, Victoria lawn, Persian lawn, Egyptian lawn and bishop's lawn.  Liberty of London made famous their Tana lawn which began manufacture in the 1920s.  Tana lawn is named after Lake Tana in Sudan where the raw cotton was grown.  (Source, The Worshipful Company of Weavers).

Machine wash at 30C or handwash
Warm/medium iron
Do not tumble dry
Do not bleach
Do not dry clean
& of course, wash dark colours separately from whites

Dark denim may run on the first few wears so please do wash separately.

I'd always recommend using laundry washbags to protect the fabric from damage from fastenings, buttons, beads & ribbons on other items of washing.

Last but not least, as my mother says, when machine washing hanging out as soon as the cycle finishes means less ironing (and she's always right!)
