liberty print clothes for little boys and girls handmade in the peak district

about me

The idea for Peak Princess struck me during a picnic in the park with my god-daughter Tilly.  I realised there was a gap in the market for good quality handmade clothes for children.

My first collection was launched in spring 2009.

Eureka day with Tilly in the park

We used to live in London where I was a BBC Radio 4 news producer so it's been quite a career & lifestyle change but the art of dress-making runs in the family.  My grandmother was a milliner and my mother was a dress designer.  My mother taught me to sew when I was a little girl.

Still learning from Mum!

I remember the special feeling of handmade party frocks, ball-gowns and bridesmaid dresses & my wedding day dream came true when i exchanged vows in a dress designed and made by Mum.

I'm delighted that Liberty of London agreed to supply me.  Liberty's fabrics wonderful to work with.  Using their prints is a real hallmark of quality.

I live in the village of Chinley in Derbyshire's beautiful Peak District with my husband, Nik, & a fluffy dog called Moses, a fluffier kitten called Loki, a grumpy cat called Mr Enos Knibbs & our new addition - a puppy called Otso.

Our home faces Eccles Pike and my top floor sewing room looks out over Cracken Edge.

I hope you love your Peak Princess and Peak Prince clothes as much as I love making them.  Thank you.
